Environmental Fee

Wrench A Part spends a significant amount of money on labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to help protect our environment. We add a 2% Environmental Fee per transaction to help offset the costs incurred by our company as part of these environmental protection efforts.

This 2% fee does not fully reimburse Wrench A Part for our total environmental expenditures. The following is a summary of the actions we take and the costs we incur to help protect our environment.

LABOR REQUIRED FOR DEPOLLUTION

Our depollution and environmental protection efforts require labor for the following:
• Removal of batteries
• Removal of mercury switches
• Removal of engine oil
• Removal of transmission fluid
• Removal of brake fluid
• Removal of power steering fluid
• Removal of gasoline
• Removal of refrigerant (Freon)
• Removal of antifreeze/coolant
• Removal of scrap and discarded tires
• Removal of all non-automotive garbage and debris
• Collection of trash and items left throughout the yard as a result of parts pulling
• Stormwater runoff testing conducted multiple times per year
• Development, maintenance, and implementation of our Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan

DISPOSAL COSTS INCURRED FOR DEPOLLUTION

Wrench A Part incurs disposal costs for the following materials:
• Scrap batteries
• Mercury switches
• Engine oil
• Transmission fluid
• Brake fluid
• Power steering fluid
• GasolineRefrigerant (Freon)
• Antifreeze/coolant
• Non-automotive garbage and debris
• Scrap and discarded tires

SUPPLIES REQUIRED FOR DEPOLLUTION

Supplies used in our depollution and environmental protection efforts include:
• Oil absorbent materials
• Sawzall blades
• Tools, including air tools, hand tools, air lines, and hydraulic tools
• Safety equipment and supplies, including hard hats, safety vests, safety boots, safety glasses, and gloves
• Mulch socks
• Oil absorbent pads and socks

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR DEPOLLUTION

Equipment and environmental infrastructure required for our depollution efforts include:
• Three (3) forklifts
• Three (3) drain rack systems
• Vehicle lifts
• Hydraulic shears
• Sawzalls
• Various air tools
• Stormwater detention ponds
• Vegetative filter strips
• Rock berms
• Mulch socks
• Oil/water collection and separation systems

ENVIRONMENTAL FEE POLICY
The 2% Environmental Fee is non-refundable for any reason once a sale transaction has been completed, including if the item(s) purchased are subsequently returned.
